Social media and texting are helping adolescents and teenagers stay in contact with their friends, and is one of the most common ways they initiate romantic relationships. However, many teens reports engaging in stalking, bullying, and controlling behaviors with their partners using electronic methods. A recent study found that 28.1% of teenagers in the past year had either perpetrated or been a victim of cyber dating abuse.
